Fuego Volcano Overnight Trip
fuego volcano overnight trip

Elevation: 12,342ft / 3,763m
Last major eruption:
February 2015
Active (and a bit angry)
Two days, one night.

Challenge = DIFFICULT:
As the title suggest, this is a challenging tour for any client of average fitness level. Expect one to two days of 8 to 10 hours of hiking with a full backpack over technical trail aspects such as rock scrambling, slippery and steep terrain.

Excursion Highlight: Watching the sunset from the volcanic knife-edge ridge on the slopes of the angry beast, Volcan Fuego, while sipping a cup of wine and waiting in anticipation for a little ground shaking cough from the ground underneath you. This one is a technical thriller!

Includes: Professional guide, transport, warm clothing, tents, sleeping pad, lunch, dinner and breakfast, and a magnificent hike! Bring a sleeping bag and backpack or borrow/rent one of ours!

Trip Description: This tour is a guide favorite because of the technical trail that takes you through beautiful high-alpine meadows washed with flowers and breath taking views! This hike is technical because of the challenging trail characteristics, and thrilling because you commune with an angry-active volcano, while camping in the saddle between Volcan Fuego and the looming Volcan Acatenango. This is an exhilarating trip that is not to be missed. Few folks can say they actually hiked on Fuego, you can be one
