Still the most fun active volcano in Guatemala. At 2552m Pacaya Volcano is smaller and more accessible than the other volcanoes we hike, but no less dramatic! We do both day trips and overnight tours from Antigua, Guatemala. Join us to experience an active volcano and toast marshmallows on hot-spots, visit cooled lava chambers and see the broken peak from the big eruption of 2010. Recently Volcan Pacaya has become more active again so if you’re lucky you will get to see some lava flows!
If you have time for the Pacaya Overnight Hike we highly recommend it; it’s the best way to experience this volcano… you get to see the lava at night and explore the volcano in your own time after all the tourists have left. We will also take you to what has to be one of the most beautiful views in Guatemala for sunrise!
